I love challenges and turn ideas into visual art through cameras and technologic devices.
‘Alice, are you among us?’
the aunt still repeat today, snatching her by the umpteenth surreal journey.
I’m Letizia aka Laenoir, I’ve two looong surnames and a perpetually engrossed mind that alternates moments of hyperactivity to moments of idleness, not intended as the mother of all vices, but like otium litteratum: a wise solitude reserved for study, reflection and contemplation.
I was born in Italy in the early nineties in a summer solstice, gemini by a hair’s breadth, and I live and work near the historic Pompeii. Even as a child I showed a propensity for the visual arts, sometimes leaving a murals too much on the house walls. I didn’t even have 10 years when I started to sketch thriller comics and write a little script with the intent to produce and direct a short film with my little friends.
Even though I chose a scientific high school, I spent my afternoons between movies and graphic exercises.I developed a passion for photography learning the basics independently and making the web my teacher and my jury: to improve, I submitted my work to the judgment of professionals in different forums. Even among the desks I reveal my true passion dealing with the graphic part of a non profit business project, managing the Visual Communication laboratories in the self-managed weeks of the students and creating the covers for the student newspaper.
For my professional training I choose the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples: from 2010 to 2014 I attend a course dedicated to new media where I worked on several projects with the Mediaintegrati lab. In 2013 I took part in the Erasmus Program and I spent six months in Spain studying at the Universitat Politècnica de València, a great experience for my technical and human background.
In 2014 I obtain a bachelor’s degree in New Technologies of Art with an evaluation of 110/110 and after a few months I’m beside Italo Sannino (Adobe Guru) as a teaching assistant for the chair of Web Design.
I continues my career as a freelance graphic designer and working as a photographer of events for different organizations (which include also Tilllate). However, I don’t waive my favorite branch: reportage photography, thus I continue my path at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, obtaining a Master’s degree in Photojournalism with full marks towards the end of 2018.
I exhibited my shots in several exhibitions both personal and collective and in the meantime updates my audience through Instagram, a fanpage on Facebook, Linkedin, Flickr, etc.
Today I continue to study what I loves, focus on details, chase the white rabbit, collect new music, watch too many movies and TV series, travel as much as possible, let myself be fascinated by people and I put my ideas at stake. Despite everything, I’m not hurry to feel too grown up because – borrowing the words from others – argue that:
‘The creative adult is the child who survived’
Looking around, I think about how to make my environment more interesting and pleasant. So, when I come home, I enjoy using classical and new tools to achieve this.
A lot of work done,
a lot of work to do.
